The Mission

Provide a fresh stream of exhibits for science and children's museums at significantly less cost. Every exhibit we make is deeply focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). We want to share the greatest gift in the world which is understanding the world around us.

The Founder

Mike Esselman is a big, nerdy kid at heart. He's visited many museums around the world with his family and found himself building simple demonstrations to help his two daughters understand basic principles of Science. When he found out how much museums pay for each exhibit, he had a vision to design exhibits that are more affordable for museums but still engaging and educational for kids. So began Mike's Interactives which aims to give world's first insights into the hidden forces and designs that we all see every day.

Mike's background in chemistry, math and computer science made him poised to design the exhibits. He has spent much of his career in contract design services building products for large businesses, now he is turning those skills towards making exhibits to delight all ages. Technically he's been building these demonstrations for years to help his children understand basic principles of all the sciences, and his love of engineering and creative problem solving makes it a business he loves to do.

Mike’s Interactive exhibits are designed and tested and then sold at considerably less than industry standards. All exhibits are available fully built and decorated, or they can be purchased as a kit to integrate into a larger theme. To see current exhibits, visit the products page.
